Festival Underpressure 2016

UNDER PRESSURE 2016 – ULYSSES 31

Mural in Montreal for the Under Pressure festival, ready to paint a piece of the city with our signature touch. For this wall, we picked a classic from our childhood: Ulysses 31. A French-Japanese anime that still holds up visually and stylistically today.

Whenever we paint with artists outside of 123KLAN crew, we like to pick a common theme—usually an iconic cartoon—to keep the playing field level for all. That way, no one’s style dominates the wall, and we can create something cohesive.

This time, we teamed up with Esprit from Switzerland and ZEK, a graffiti heavyweight from Montreal.

We used the world of Ulysses 31 as the background, a theme that everyone could vibe with, making it easier to merge different styles without overcomplicating things. A proper collaborative wall, where each artist brought their touch while keeping the balance right.

The Under Pressure festival is graffiti at its purest: no ego, just passion and a shared love for the craft. A raw and authentic celebration of street art. Definitely an experience worth repeating.

Thanks for watching this video! If you were there in 2016, you already know. If not… check out the photos and picture the smell of fresh paint in the heart of the city.
