FUBU x 123KLAN

Fubu Asia has approached 123KLAN in 2011 after buying back the US license.
Nostalgic for our young years in hip hop, In the early nineties that Fubu was one of the major brands in the street scene. It is with pleasure that we agreed to sign a collection with them.

How do you create a Streetwear collection?
Same process as always,
1- brainstorm, delirium between Scien and Klor
Sometimes customers have some expectations, but we are lucky that they always approach us for our style.
2- we always draw all the concepts by hand,
3- we switch to illustrator to finalize and apply the designs on different classic pieces of street wear culture,
4- Designing of teak pack.

The cool thing about this kind of signature collection is the total carte blanche. Of course we are free in the creation, but above all we are in control of the choice and the line of clothes. We can choose on which texture, on which garment, we will integrate our graphic creations, and above all we can make sure of the final color.
We can go further in the detail and in the complete elaboration of the garment.
When you only deliver an illustrator file to a clothing company, sometimes, during the manufacturing process, the team will change details, your colors, or print them on inappropriate textile supports.

With this experience at the beginning of our career, before accepting to work for a clothing brand, we make sure to add a little closure when it comes to the respect of the design provided, especially when it is signed with our name.
